»Sony Online Entertainment« hat ein erstes Video zur kommenden Erweiterung »Destiny of Velious« veröffentlicht. Knapp zwei Minuten lang fliegt ihr durch die neuen Zonen und könnt am Ende noch einen ersten Blick auf eines der neuen fliegenden Mounts erhaschen.

Mit »Destiny of Velious« hat »Sony Online Entertainment« auf der diesjährigen Fan Fair die siebte Erweiterung zum Online-Rollenspiel »EverQuest II« angekündigt. Dabei handelt es sich wieder um eine All-in-one Compilation, die alle bisher erschienenen Erweiterungen und Abenteuerpacks enthält.

Die Erweiterung führt Veteranen und neue Spieler nach Velious und enthält neben zwei neuen Überlandzonen zehn neue Dungeons und mehr als 300 neue Quests. Ein besonderes Highlight sind die fliegenden Reittiere, mit denen sich die Welt aus der Luft erkunden lässt.

Following the events of Sentinel’s Fate™, the twin Swords of Destiny, Soulfire and the Qeynos Claymore, have been drained of their powers, setting the stage for the destruction of the EverQuest universe. The prophecy known as Age’s End begins to unfold in the legendary continent of Velious and it is here where the war for Norrath will arise. For there to be any chance to save Norrath, the Swords of Destiny must be restored. Norrath’s guardians who undertake this burden will be tested by labyrinthine dungeons, the harsh Velious tundra and powerful creatures including the God of War himself, Rallos Zek. To succeed would mean ultimate glory. To fail would mean annihilation.
